How are the lives of Tibetan Monks?

Описание к видео How are the lives of Tibetan Monks?

After a good nap, we started our day by visiting Drepung Monastery, one of the most important sites in Tibetan culture. Once the largest monastery in the world, it was home to over 10,000 monks, though now only 200-300 remain. We learned about the prayer rituals and the rich history that adds to the beauty of the place. The views around the monastery were absolutely stunning.

One interesting thing we discovered was the variety of offerings made to the deities, including not just money, ghee, and fruits, but also sodas and alcohol. After exploring the monastery, we took a break for snacks at a restaurant within the monastery grounds.

Next, we visited Sera Monastery, which means "Wild Roses." We explored its history, saw the kitchen where food is prepared for the monks, and watched a lively debate session among the monks, a unique tradition here.

We ended our day at Lhasa Railway Station, booking tickets for our next destination.

Stay tuned as I continue to share more beautiful locations from Tibet!
