Stephen Berry from Softvision hosts Jackie Elleker from Microsoft to provide you with a nostalgic guide to using Microsoft Windows 3.1. Windows 3.1 was originally released on April 6, 1992. The video is introduced by Bill Gates who was Chairman of Microsoft at the time.

Softvision was a leading producer of learning films for all the major software products in the market in the early 1990s onwards. DOS-based software and early Windows software were not particularly intuitive or friendly and Softvision's "TV talk-show" concept was designed to make it easier for viewers to understand and navigate software programs of the era.

The three-hour productions were filmed live and unscripted and relied on the knowledge of the software expert and the ad hoc ability of the host to ensure all the major topics were covered and that difficult concepts were clarified for the viewer. Softvision was highly regarded by software publishers of the time who saw that their customers had a more positive relationship with their products.

For that reason, many of the leading industry CEOs and Chairmen are seen introducing their products in Softvision's videos.
