Last video in the series!! This video is part of a series for my annual summer garden tour for 2023. It covers all of my #permaculture #garden beds around my pond area, and a little bit more. In 2022 I called these beds the pond south garden bed and pond northeast garden bed. This area, was once nearly 100% invasive privet.
Crops included in this area are thornless blackberry, Texas persimmon (Diospyros texana), purple coneflower ( Echinacea ), chili pequin pepper, turk's cap, okra, peanut, carrot, quince, collard, fuzzy bean, winecup, nanking cherry, oregano, sage, french sorrel, swiss chard, mustard, arugula, comfrey, wild strawberry, domestic strawberry, wild onion, garlic, little bluestem, elbow bush, and other native edible plants.
This is in my relatively new permaculture nursery/ #farm in the Cross Timbers ecoregion of #Texas created by converting my grass lawn into a productive native garden .
