1966 Ford Galaxie 7 Litre 428 Rare Survivor - Ford's 1966 Total Performance Era

Thanks for checking out my 1966 Galaxie 7 Litre 428ci, Total Performance Ford!!. If you want something unique, and rare, this is your machine, lots of power, very interesting Ford, from the mide 60's one of Fords Total Performance Vehicles, where Racing and Performance was King back in the day, everyone loves a Big Block FE, especially a 428 Q Code Machine. This car is an original survivor, Original Paint, Original Interior, Numbers Matching 428ci 345hp -462torque and Cruis-O-Matic C6 Transmission. This car was bought new in Elk Grove, Ca, from Frank Cate Ford, in April 1966. They Special Ordered the car in April, and picked it up in June, paying $4050.00 for it total, even have the canceled check. They bought for retirement, and pulled an Airstream trailer with it for a few years across the country. They didn't use it much after the 70's, they moved to Oregon in the 80's. A local gentleman found out about it in 1987 from an insurance friend of his, and he came over and bought the car. At that time, he said it has 43K original miles, and when he stopped driving it, it had 45K on it, he said he believes the miles to be true, I do have a oil sticker from 1987 with 43K. I could have sold it as a barn find, it had not run for over 25 years. But I wanted to make it run and drive again, who wouldn't, Big Block 428, of course I wanted to drive it. It is number matching, I spent thousands of dollars, and lots of time to get it back up and going, and it was totally worth it. The car is going to be for sale on Bring A Trailer, www.bringatrailer.com auctions starting July 14th. The car is registered with the 7 Litre Registry it was the 157th registerd 7 Litre with them, there are only 758 1966 Galaxie 7 litre cars known to exist, with only 495 being Hardtops. Anyways, very rare car, no rust, very solid, check out the video, check out the pictures, I do mention that steering wheel does have 1 crack, it actually has 2, hard to mention everything in a picture of video, but I tried my best, check it out. I do have photos underneath it, and it is amazing, clean frame, clean floors. THEY CAN ONLY BE ORIGINAL ONCE!!!!!
