The Sigma Metal Analytics Precious Metal Verifier (PMV) and how I use it. A must have!

In this video I will demonstrate using the Sigma Metal Analytics Precious Metal Verifier or PMV to test Gold & Silver items. Its my opinion this is a MUST HAVE tool for anyone who stacks or deals with gold and silver coins or bullion.
I'm not sure there is any single solution. If buying a loose coin, drop it on a scale and compare the weight with what it should be. Then check diameter and thickness, then drop it on the Sigma for the icing on the cake. I like knowing for sure what I am buying is legit. If still in doubt, or if the Sigma falls slightly outside the scale, do a density/gravity test. Use everything you have available in your toolbox to make sure your getting what your paying for as there are way too many people out there selling outright counterfeit items. The Sigma might carry a large price tag however, weeding out a single counterfeit gold coin will pay for itself.
