The Final Experimental Snapshot? ▫ Minecraft 1.18 Caves & Cliffs Update

Minecraft has published Minecraft 1.18 Experimental Snapshot 7, the latest (and possibly last!) Java Edition snapshot for the Caves & Cliffs Update Part 2.


This update makes changes to Elytra rocket boosting and how Elytra durability works! Caves will now spawn higher up in mountain biomes, creating easy caving opportunities at higher elevations, and terrain overall is slightly smoother. We take a look at these changes in a Creative world, then drop into a new world in Survival to discuss the overall picture of the Experimental snapshots.

As always, it's worth noting that these have been Experimental snapshots, and any of the changes they contained could change again in the regular snapshot cycle before a full release arrives!
