The 45 metres high, impressive white Burmese marble statue of Buddha offers breath-taking views of the island. The Big Buddha statue can be seen from any part of southern Phuket.


What to expect?
The enormous statue sits on top of the Nakkerd Hills between Chalang and Kata. You can also check out the smaller golden-coloured Buddha statue made out of brass.
Tips
1. The best time to visit Big Buddha is during sunset.
2. The shrine remains open between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.
3. Visitors don’t have to pay any entrance fee for the shrine.
