Virginal by Lynette Tsiang, 1976 after Poggio. The tuning is lower than present-day concert pitch (A is at 415 Hz instead of 440 Hz). Mean-tone temperament was used.

William Byrd (c.1540 or 1543-1623) was an English composer of the Renaissance, with an output of about 470 compositions.
