In this first episode we demonstrate how the local grains are laid out on our malting floors. We have developed our own technique for this and floor malting is no longer a common sight at distilleries around the world. We malt both rye and barley.

This is part of a series of clips on how we make our whisky. Stauning Whisky is one of very few distilleries in the world where every step is done in-house. You will get a rare insight into whisky making from start to finish.
