Continuing his visit to the Province of Pampanga, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. leads the distribution of Agarang Kalinga at Saklolo sa mga OFWs na Nangangailangan (AKSYON) Fund Assistance to overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and their families affected by recent typhoons during a program in the City of San Fernando on October 3, 2025.

Following a series of calamities that devastated communities in Pampanga, hundreds of families — including those of OFWs — were displaced and suffered both economically and emotionally. Many OFW households depend on remittances for their livelihood, and recent calamities have disrupted their sources of income and overall well-being.

In line with the President’s directive to ensure no one is left behind, the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) has activated its AKSYON Fund to support distressed OFWs. It provides essential legal, medical, financial and emergency aid during times of crisis.

A total of 3,000 OFWs from 22 calamity-stricken municipalities and cities in the Province will receive financial support amounting to PhP5,000, specifically aimed at supplementing the initial assistance to help beneficiaries meet their current needs.

The DMW is continuously awarding the AKSYON Fund to OFW families in all affected areas.
