The Biden Administration has signed onto a UN initiative called the "Thirty by Thirty" or "30x30" agenda, which aims to conserve 30% of the United States land mass by 2030. Now called the "America the Beautiful" agenda, it is the official policy of the US government as decreed in an executive order signed by Joe Biden. Mind you, this has not been legislated by Congress, and funding has not been granted by the Congressional budget. It is a potentially very expensive program that is the result of an executive order.
