Training communities for a Greener Mediterranean

Описание к видео Training communities for a Greener Mediterranean

Imagine turning everyday scraps into rich soil and new job opportunities. Composting does just that, transforming organic matter into valuable fertilizer and creating a virtuous cycle where training leads to employment and sustainable practices. SIRCLES is an innovative project funded by the Mediterranean Sea Basin ENI CBC Programme, aimed at transforming organic waste into rich soil while creating job opportunities in the Mediterranean region, specifically in Spain, Greece, Palestine, Jordan, Lebanon, Tunisia, and Italy. SIRCLES promotes social inclusion and employment through a circular economy model in the organic waste sector and has successfully created over 150 new jobs and raised awareness about composting in previously underserved areas. Led by the Waste Agency of Catalonia, SIRCLES empowers marginalised populations and fosters a greener, more inclusive future.
