Now, we have a conundrum. I need to tame a Deinosuchus, but to do that, I have to go to last place you'd expect to see a giant crocodilian... the Snow Biome. Yep, these giant dinosaur killing crocodilians spawn in the huge lake in the Northwest of the Snow Biome. Does this make sense? No. But, it's ARK.

My interest in these beautiful monsters is their Giga bite. While their base damage is solid, it's this attack that makes me want to add them to my boss army. Though they are primarily an aquatic creature, they are perfectly serviceable on land. With good HP and high damage, it's little wonder that they are a favorite in boss fights.

These were originally a mod made by Garuga, part of his ARK Additions/Additions Ascended package. However, they were added to ARK proper by wildcard. They also hired Garuga, so congratulations!

As to this creature, it really does look like a giant alligator. That does owe to its irl counterpart, which is often labeled a "crocodile." In truth, it's a crocodilian, but I don't know if it is a true crocodile. But, there was a time when even dinosaurs feared to come to the water to drink, knowing this predator lurked below.

Perhaps this creature in this game will show us why.
