The Motorola G54 actually offers double the storage of an £800 iPhone 15, plus features like microSD support and a headphone jack. So here's a hands-on review of this Moto phone to see if it's one of the best options for that price.

That 50MP camera is quite basic, as you'd hopefully expect at this budget cost. But the Motorola Moto G54 5G can still capture decent enough pics even with strong or low lighting, if you know how to handle it. Gaming chops are just about good enough for Genshin Impact, but that frame rate won't be too smooth. You're best off with PubG etc.

Battery life is cracking, while Motorola has stuffed 256GB storage into the Moto G54 5G, expandable via microSD up to 1TB. You also have the usual slick Moto apps on board (except for Ready For sadly).

This budget phone only comes with a guaranteed single OS upgrade sadly, so Android 14 will be it. But at least you have three years of bi-monthly security updates. And no complaints with the 6.5-inch FHD+ IPS screen, which hits 120Hz, or those stereo speakers.
