Despite being found guilty, some medical professionals are calling the verdict into question.

Letby is currently serving multiple life sentences with no chance of release.
Her lawyers have twice failed to appeal the case. However, she now has new legal representation, and her lawyer claims she is “not guilty,” arguing she is a victim of a miscarriage of justice.

Mark McDonald argues that the medical evidence used to convict Letby in court was misinterpreted. He has worked with the scientists behind the research in an effort to prove otherwise. They claim the tragic deaths were due to natural causes or poor medical care.

Lucy Letby was convicted of murdering seven babies and attempting to murder another seven while working as a nurse on a neonatal ward in Chester, UK.
