東京在住のミュージシャン、コラージュアーティスト。
2020年に解散したシャムキャッツのボーカル&ギター夏目知幸のソロ名義。
近年は日本のみならず韓国・中国・台湾・タイなどアーティストと交流しながらアジア各国へ活動の場を拡げた。mac demarco、Mystery Jets、Deerhoof、Sunsetrollercoasterらと共演。
ソロでは日本語の響きを大切にした歌世界とインディ・アイデンティティはそのままに、本人がこれまで愛してきたより広範囲の音楽を咀嚼したポップスを展開。プライベートな生活感覚とクラブのダンスフィールを繋げる、享楽的で拡張性のあるサウンドを届ける。
音楽活動の他、コラージュ作家としての個展や執筆などでも活動中。
2021年12月にシングル「人生」で活動をスタートさせる。

Summer Eye’s debut single “JINSEI” (meaning “life” in Japanese), set for release on December 16th, marks an anticipated debut from pop artist monikar by Tokyo-based singer-songwriter, recording artist Tomoyuki Natsume.

“JINSEI” is Summer Eye’s best interpretation of indie J-pop, which he describes as “Acid-bossa-house-KAYOUKYOKU”. After disbanding indie-rock band Siamese Cats in 2020, Summer Eye indulged himself in writing music with vintage electronic instruments, synth, and programming. He ultimately found inspiration from his love for club culture and DIY scenes in the post-internet era. “JINSEI” celebrates the memories of happier times. A Summer Eye’s message to focus on positivity and appreciate the circumstances we’re given. In “JINSEI”, Summer Eyes programmed a lighthearted bossa nova-tinged beat, accompanied by the harmonized vocal, to bring warm and nostalgic club cut, which will suite your instant chill out moment, driving, or dance floor potential. On the debut release, Summer Eye recruited the Y2K-influenced graphic designer NANOOK, who has collaborated with electronic-music YouTube channel Boiler Room and various fashion brands such as UNDERCOVER and GAP, and Shanghai-born, Tokyo-based singer songwriter and artist Oh Shu as music advisor.
