Desert Rats Team hit the Yucaipa Crafton Hills Trails this weekend. We parked at the Zanja Peak hiking area and rolled down to 13th street and started our climb up Thunderbird Trail. Did a down and up on Three Hawks Trail which is right next to Thunderbird. Three Hawks is mostly used as an uphill climb. I've always wanted to feel that going down, and that was fun. The fire road trek up lead us too 38 Special. The views there are one of my favorite, you pay for it on the climb back up via an unmarked trail that eventually hooks to Grape Street Trail. We finished off the days ride with our favorite downhill run.. the Yuciapa Regional Park Trail.
