Homeopathic medicine was created over 200 years ago in Europe by Dr. Samuel Hahnemann, MD. It all started out as an experiment he performed. He used different dosages of a medicine, high doses as well as low doses, in order to see what effects each dose had on the body. The interesting part of the experiment is that he also prepared serial dilutions of the medicine in water. For example, he added one part of the medicine to nine parts water making a 1 to 10 dilution. He then took one part of this diluted medicine and added it to nine parts of water, making the solution even more diluted. He repeated the same process over and over again, making an extremely diluted medicine. The interesting discovery he made from this experiment was that the diluted medicines still had an effect on the body.

Homeopathic medicines have been available in the United States of America for over one hundred years. In the past, there were homeopathic hospitals in America. In these hospitals, the doctors used only homeopathic medicines. They were able to achieve incredible success in many different types of illnesses using only homeopathic medicines and no drugs.
