New Delhi, Jun 09 (ANI): The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on June 09 denied the claims of raising the issue of derogatory remarks against Prophet Mohammad during Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian’s meeting with EAM S Jaishankar. While addressing a Press Conference, MEA Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said, “My understanding is that this issue was not raised during that conversation.” MEA Spokesperson when asked about a meeting between NSA and the Iranian Foreign Minister meeting in wake of the controversial remark, he said, “I don’t like to comment on comments between senior dignitaries. My understanding is that what you are referring to in a readout has been pulled down (by Iran).”(TS)
