Tsilhqot'in Journey For Justice (Part 3: Supreme Court of Canada) HD

On November 7th 2013, the Tsilhqot'in Nation's historic Aboriginal title case was appealed in the Supreme Court of Canada.
This was the culmination of over 20 years of legal struggle for recognition of Tsilhqot'in rights and title, and is a landmark case that tests Canada's willingness to begin a more meaningful path to reconciliation with First Nations in our country.

The journey that began in the defense of Tsilhqot'in homelands was now on its way to Ottawa. Community leaders, Chiefs, Elders, Youth and honoured guests began a long bus journey to the Supreme Court, beginning with a ceremony at Chilko Lake near Xeni Gwet'in (Nemiah Valley).
Many of these Elders and leaders had been witnesses in the historic original trial.
The Tsilhqot'in Land Title Express was undertaken to honour those Elders that testified.
Many of them have since passed on to the next world.
