YoYoFactory Shutter Wide Angle - Unboxing Review and PLAY

Описание к видео YoYoFactory Shutter Wide Angle - Unboxing Review and PLAY

So I was finally able to try out and own the Wide angle version of the most popular yoyo (in history?) or at least the most units sold in history. The YoYo Factory Shutter (Maybe I'll buy the non wide angle one day).

But since combing through the interwebs, I wasn't able to find a deal for the regular Shutter, I thought I'd just get the Wide Angle version since I was able to find a B-Grade. If anyone is curious, I did take the risk of buying a B-Grade since they're typically marketed either having minimal vibe or ano (anodization) flaw or even scratches from the factory/handling. Just wanted to let you know that the only "flaw" was a tiny mark on the inner part of the profile. You'll see it in the middle of the unboxing portion of the video.

So right off the bat when throwing the Shutter Wide Angle is...it's light, nimble, smaller in diameter but pretty comfortable in the hand. I can see why it's a very popular yoyo. It's honestly an awesome yoyo! It's not a perfect yoyo if there is even such a thing since every player has a different preference, but I think with what this Wide Angle has does check off a lot of various playing styles...at least in my opinion. This is a non-bias review of course.

The features that the yoyo utilizes creates some useful purposes. Like the rim, with the lip underneath allows thumb grinds or any kind of finger grinds to be performed while adding some rim weight distribution to the yoyo. The center of the cup has a cylindrical cutout, so I thought it wouldn't be good with finger spins (even though I'm not that good) since some other yoyos also have a "similar" like the MYY (Magic yoyo Carpfin) but I was surprised that landing a finger spin was relatively simple. And even that cutout is slightly curved at the sides possibly to give the possibility to hook a finger in there. The inner cup design along with that cut out does give the yoyo a decent amount of mid body weight distribution. It also have a nice soft finish besides the polished mid profile on my color way, making body grinds easy to do.

With all my talk about how great this yoyo is, there must be something it's short of achieving....and that's honestly hard to find here. Beit, my playing style is my own style and feel. So the things I consider that I'm not fond of doesn't mark anything bad, it's just by preference. That said, as much as I do like the WIDE WIDTH, I'm not fond of it being this wide because there are a few tricks that I made up where you have to land on an a specific string and being it this wide does sometimes want to grab every string within a 1/2" distance. I also noticed that the wider the yoyo, the most it becomes more critical on how it was machined. Luckily mine had no vibe (especially surprised since it's a B-Grade) but usually the wider the yoyo, it's increases the chances for having vibe. The width does make central axis stability a little weaker, in short, if you don't throw a proper sleeper or just do a good throw, you'll definitely notice a wobble. Although the biggest pro of the wide width makes horizontal play a lot easier to deal with or even to learn.

But even with that paragraph of things I'm not fond of, this is still one of the best yoyos I've ever used and I think possibly in my top 10.

The yoyo feels like it has 55R/45C (Rim/Center). It has some rim weight to it, a little bit floaty, but unlike a bimetal since there is some mid body weight distribution, so it has a little bit of bounce to it. Making this a great yoyo to play fast!

Should I do an "Ask me anything?"
Or try to have a "YOUTUBE LIVE" session of me practicing live answering questions...I'm not that great of a yoyoer since I'm always trying to learn things on my own
Anyone noticed my hair being all funky in the first few seconds of this video?
Should I try to do a VLOG like what Brandon Vu has been doing lately?

Either way, I'm still practicing for Worlds 2021 40+ division so I'm trying my best to bring you all content.

Next review will be the Magic YoYo N12 Shark's Honour and a comparison from an old and new...and YES there is a subtle difference that changes the way it feels.
