Dholera Special Investment Region (DSIR) is a greenfield industrial city planned and located approximately 100 km South West of Ahmedabad. Dholera spans an area of approximately 920 sq km and comprises a developable area of 422 sq km (land now ready for allotment), It is strategically located between the industrial cities of Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Rajkot and Bhavnagar.
Dholera's immediate city development area is approximately 5,600 acres. It is envisaged to be a world-class destination with excellent infrastructure. The city will provide opportunities for the setting up of manufacturing units, while also aiming to provide an environment to work, live, learn and play. Dholera SIR will be a role model for future cities in India.

India’s 1st “Platinum” Rated Greenfield Smart City. Certified as Platinum Rated Green City by Indian Green Building Council. Strategically located and is the largest node on Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor. SPV named Dholera Industrial City Development Limited (DICDL) to enable swift and efficient governance. The city would be built as a world class city, with a six lane expressway running between the city from the state's largest city and capital Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar respectively, to the container port. it would be the world's largest urban development project worth $12 billion.
