DIY Car Cleaning Putty

I saw this on Pinterest and thought I'd give it a whirl. Besides having fun making it, I wanted to see if it actually worked. I halved the recipes.

Recipe 1 DIY Cleaning Slime

4 oz Elmer's White Glue
1/4 water
1 teaspoon baking soda
food coloring
contact solution
Add glue, water, baking soda and food coloring. Mix well.
Add in contact solution and stir at same time. Once you have slime, dab it on a surface to see if it picks anything up.

Recipe 2 Fluffy Slime with Shaving Cream

4 oz. Elmer's White Glue
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 tablespoon contact solution
3 cups Barbasol shaving cream

Mix glue and baking soda. Stir well. Add 3 cups shaving cream and stir again. Add contact solution and stir until fluffy slime forms and everything is well combined.

The first slime I made was really rubbery. The second ended up being my favorite. It picked up a lot of dust and crumbs and was easy to use. I had more than enough with half a recipe. Penelope looks so much nicer.
