Farah Omran Alshboul is one of 3,000 students in Jordan who joined the Minecraft Education training program—though she almost didn’t. At first, she wasn’t interested. She thought Minecraft was “just a game” and didn’t see how it could help with school or real-life skills. But after giving it a try, her view completely changed.

During the training, Farah discovered how Minecraft Education turns learning into something hands-on and fun. Instead of just reading about topics, she built them—designing interactive worlds that explain ideas, tell stories, and solve problems. She learned how to plan, collaborate with classmates, and use coding features like Code Builder to automate tasks and bring her ideas to life.

What hooked her most was the creativity and purpose. She started building worlds that teach others—like a climate change challenge map with in-game quests, and a virtual museum that guides players through Jordan’s history. She enjoyed testing these worlds with other students, gathering feedback, and improving the designs so they’re clearer and more engaging.

Now, Farah says Minecraft Education changed how she learns. She’s more confident presenting, better at breaking big problems into steps, and more curious about subjects like science, geography, and design. She sees herself not just as a player, but as a creator and a mentor—someone who can help classmates learn through play. What began as hesitation has become a passion: learning by building, sharing, and inspiring others inside the worlds she creates.
