Indian Railways during british rule used wooden coaches but due to their drawbacks Indian Railways decided to replace the coaches with Modern and Advanced one, The Silver Arrow train was Introduced in 1947 which was more advanced, It was a technology demonstrator and was the first mainline streamlined train of India. The Silver arrow was only limited to the exhibition and after partition the rolling stocks went to Pakistan.
