The Hotel Alyeska in Alaska. Our fairy tale weekend

We wish we could stay longer! The Hotel Alyeska is located in Girdwood. It’s about a 30-mile scenic drive from Anchorage. May, the beginning of the summer season, and the hotel is not at full capacity yet. Surrounded by woods and snow-capped mountain peaks, the Alyeska resort looks like an enchanted fairy tale castle still asleep under its magic spell. Very romantic!
What did I like the best at the Hotel Alyeska?
#1. Very friendly and super attentive personnel.
#2. Our cozy room on the 8th floor with a million-dollar view of the Summit!
#3. A huge and clean indoor swimming pool we used every night.
#4. A cute lodge with a warm fireplace. Lovely!
#5. A nice restaurant with a good menu including delicious salads.
The Hotel Alyeska is a beautiful place to relax. But in my opinion, the real beauty of this place comes from the people who work there making guests welcomed with true “Alyeskan” hospitality, love and care.
