Step 1: Get a USB with nothing on it and plug it into your PS3
Step 2: Format your PS3's system storage using the quick format option in the format utility section of system settings
Step 3: Backup your PS3 onto your USB drive using the backup option in the backup utility section of system settings
Step 4: Plug your USB into your computer
Step 5: Download all the programs necessary to make edit the patch, and to install the pkg file
Step 6: Download the correct region code for your area and save it to your desktop
America: BLUS30377
EU: BLES00687
I do not have the rest of them if you are in a different country, but it should say it on the back of your MW2 Case
or you can just look it up.
Step 7: Open .pkg view, and then drag in your .pkg of your region, and than right click on the region code at the top left
and than click extract to source folder, now you can close pkg view.
Step 8: Download the patch you want, (I would reccomend Prism V1)
Step 9: Edit your patch so the set perk codes work using FF Viewer
Step 10: Open the folder that pkg view created and navigate to the inside of the USRDIR folder, and drag your patch_mp.ff
into there.
Step 11: Navigate to your USB in your computer, and find the PS3 folder that you just created using the backup, and drag it
to your desktop
Step 12: Open up pexploit
Step 13: Click on Step One and then find your ps3 folder and keep opening folders until it stops at an archive.dat
Step 14: Click Step Two and find your folder that you made using PKGview, and click on it than click OK on the region code
Step 15: Click Patch and go and replace the PS3 folder in your USB with the one you just edited that should be on your
desktop
Step 16: Plug the USB into your PS3, and navigate to the backup utility section, and click restore than click on the USB
than click yes to everything it says and it should restart your PS3
Step 17: Load up MW2 and when it asks you to download 1.14 click circle to cancel
Step 18: Once MW2 loads up, it will ask you to do the vertical scale and brightness etc, just do all of that
Step 19: Once you are done with all of that, the main menu should appear where it shows campaign spec ops and multiplayer
Just exit the game when in that menu. DONT CLICK ON MULTIPLAYER
Step 20: Once you exited the game, reload MW2 and click on Multiplayer and you should see that the patch is working :)
