Hélène Marcoux, Manager of Malcolm Knapp Research Forest, explains a recent high-retention harvest in a temperate rainforest stand (CWHdm - dry maritime subzone of the Coastal Western Hemlock BEC Zone). Harvesting was based on a plan developed by students in the Master of Sustainable Forest Management degree program (https://forestry.ubc.ca/future-studen...) in the Faculty of Forestry at the University of British Columbia. Filmed at Malcolm Knapp Research Forest.
