Learn about the discoveries and advancements in water quality research at The University of Toledo as it relates to algal blooms and red tide from Dr. Steven Haller, Assistant Professor of Medicine, and Dr. David Kennedy, Associate Professor of Medicine both from the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine.

The University of Toledo has created the Center for Environmental Toxicology and Health given our community’s ties to and dependence on the Great Lakes and surrounding tributaries as a source of clean water for drinking, recreation, fishing and agriculture. Our Center places a special emphasis on discovering new diagnostic, preventative and therapeutic strategies targeting cellular damage caused by environmental stressors that impair our land-water-food nexus.

Hear Dean Cooper share an update on the College of Medicine and Life Sciences followed by an enlightening presentation regarding our water quality.
