What is Genocide?

Description: We see the word "genocide" used a lot in our media and everyday lives. But how is this term actually defined and how can it be used operationally to understand ongoing events around the world? How is genocide different from other atrocity crimes such as crimes against humanity, war crimes, and slavery? This presentation outlines important definitions and examples with an eye toward the consequences of each category as well. This event was hosted by the Cohen Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies at Keene State College.
