An AMAZING Agate Adventure: Finding & Cutting Open INCREDIBLE Florida Alligator Agate Geodes!

Some days do NOT go according to plan! This was one of those hunts where we had mother nature against us, but had a fantastic time anyways. We got off to the river fairly late in the day and, in typical Florida summer fashion, we were hit multiple times by random storms that were not at all in the forecast. We made the best of it, found a few geodes and then retired back to my place to cut a few of them open. We also had a number of Florida Alligator Agates stored up for a rainy day (literally) and cut a bunch of those open too (actually filmed prior to the hunting portion of this video). Just being able to witness the moment a rough rock first reveals the hidden beauty inside is something I can never, ever get tired of. It is like opening a treasure chest every time.
