The highest heat recorded on Dhaka was 42.3 degrees in 1960. The current value is 43.4. But it feels like it's close to 49 degrees. Why does heat feel more intense than it is? Several factors, including the degradation of wetlands, contribute to global warming. We contacted five public and eleven private organizations to learn more about the condition of the canals in Dhaka for the purpose of conducting this investigation.
The canals in Dhaka were handed over to two city corporations two and a half years ago. At initially, a few initiatives were put forth, but now nothing is progressing.
As a result, a large portion of the city is frequently completely saturated by light rain. Water levels are decreasing. When it rains, water clogging gets worse and the temperature rises dramatically. It is clear why the rescue process has become difficult. In other words, land once owned by government entities is now a private property.
