The top seal or O-Ring on the Ford 6.0L Powerstroke Superduty Diesel are in fact replaceable. This video will show you how to replace the seal yourself easily.

Ford's solution to a leaking top seal is to replace the whole injector for around $400.
If you have money to spare by all means go that route and send me your old injector.

One thing you need to be aware of is that a leak at this seal is often caused by a leaking nipple cup in the oil rail. Make sure you inspect your old top seal carefully when you get it out to determine a failed nipple cup seal. If it looks like it is worn or eroded from the top down, you have a leaking ball/nipple cup seal and that needs to be replaced as well, otherwise you will be replacing the top seal again sooner or later.
