SUBSCRIBE Learn how to tile the right way Complete bathroom install with Schluter Kerdi-board, Kerdi-Line drain, Walker Zanger ceramic tile. This is a time lapse of the complete installation of a bathroom with Schluter shower systems products, including Kerdi-board, Kerdi membrane, Kerdi-Line linear drain, Schluter Ditra, and all the other components of the Schluter system needed to complete the bathroom. ½” Schluter Kerdi-board was installed on the walls and waterproofed by applying Kerdi-band to all the corners and seams, and over the screw heads. The part of the bathroom where the shower valve and shower head are located was sloped toward the drain by installing a mud base screeded between two parallel screeds to produce a flat pitch of a ¼” per foot. A 72” Kerdi-Line drain was installed and the floor was waterproofed with Schluter Ditra on one side and Schluter Kerdi Membrane on the other side covering all seams and corners with Kerdi-band. The ceramic tile used was made by Walker Zanger and consisted of a 12” by 4” Subway tile on the lower part of the wall with a Chair rail type ceramic molding dividing the upper part of the walls which had a Mosaic ceramic Walker Zanger tile. The floor had a Penny round ceramic tile.
