Описание к видео How to Study For AP Comparative Government and Politics

Are you pumped about AP Comparative Government and Politics but have no idea how to study for the course? Hear me out as I explain how you should be approaching AP Comp Gov!

This video is mainly focused on content memorization, not test-taking tips.

Here is a quick peek into my tips:

1) Remember the Concepts
2) Utilize AP Classroom to your advantage
3) Understand the Essential Knowledge (Course and Exam Description)
4) Change Learning Objectives into Questions
5) Compare and Contrast Countries, Systems, and Concepts
6) Actively Read the News
7) Apply Themes to Non-AP Countries as Well!

Each of these tips should help students study and prepare for the AP Comp Gov course and test.

As mentioned in tip 3, students can understand what College Board wants from the students by accessing the Course and Exam Description.

Teachers are expected to teach based on this PDF, so this is a great way for students to see what teachers might mention in class.

As for tip 6, read the news and start making connections between what’s currently going on and what is taught in class. If actively reading the news is difficult, try downloading news-related apps such as the New York Times, The Guardian, and Reuters. Some of these allow unlimited articles (e.g The Guardian and Reuters) and some will only allow 10 free articles a month (e.g. Bloomberg and The New York Times).

Have fun with AP Comp Gov!
