Mood Meter is an interactive installation that encourages, recognizes, and monitors the smiles of a community, providing an indicator of emotional responses to certain events. Although smiles are not the only sign of a good mood, in our project, we have used it as a barometer of happiness. This project is intended to raise awareness of how our own smiles can positively affect the surrounding environment, and to assess how congenial MIT is as a community.
