A bit of an off the beaten track hike going nearly in a large loop.
This 20km hike with 650m elevation gain starts in Hathersage, goes across to the Hathersage Stepping stones, up to Offerton Hall, then climbs up onto Eyam moor affording some incredible views north across the Hope valley. From there, the hike climbs up to the highest point, Sir William Hill trig point at 429m. Then it is a steep descent down into the village of Eyam, a good place to stop for lunch / cup of tea. From there onwards up to Riley Graves before descending down into Froggatt and Froggatt woods. There is the option of climbing up to Froggatt Edge to get you back to Grindleford station if you have the legs for it!
A lovely hike covering a lot of geography and history in one go.
