“After an initial first visit, I was happy to come back to the Pueblo of Isleta to visit with Kateri Jojola and Daryl Lucero, both farming residents that live and farm in the pueblo. We met up with them at “The Heart of the Dragonfly Farms”, where we filmed them both as they showed us what they’ve got growing. Daryl and Kateri also shared with us how their community collaborations have paved a way to bring back traditional ecological knowledge with not only their people, but with the land and water too. They are both learning how to navigate community relationships to help other Isleta Pueblo farmers with their farms and build a network of trust that their entire community can depend on if other members decide to start a garden/farm of their own. I can’t wait to see what this collaboration will bring to the community in the coming years, and shoutout to Pueblo Resurgents for collaborating with Isleta farmers.”
