FARM UPDATE 277 Mole draining, how we do it & why it works so well repairing soil after a wet year.

We’ve had such a wet winter and spring, the fields need some help to recover so 2 months ago we bought a 4 yr old, twin leg mole drainer to start the recovery process. In this update I go though how we have to study drainage plans to make sure we mole at the correct angle and direction because it’s so easy to create another problem, rather than cure an old one.

Barry also comes in with his JCB 3CX digger to find the stone which most drains have above them and to check the mole channel is the correct depth.
