Making&Testing Duct Tape and Leaf-Fletched Arrows

This video starts with the sanding down of the rough dowels that are going to serve as arrow shafts. Then I apply the duct tape fletchings and tie a strip of duct tape at the bottom of the arrow nock, to prevent the wood from splitting.

You can choose which end of the shaft you want to fletch, because the dowels do not taper in any way. If they had a taper (like naturally harvested shafts do) the skinny end is where the fletchings should go.

Also, I was curious how would the leaf-fletched arrows fly, and the answer is: surprisingly well! At least for short distances (which is where you would be hunting if you had primitive gear)
Their main issue is durability, they tear pretty easily, but they are also easy to make.

The song "Flight To Tunisia" Which I frequently use is not mine and I do not own it.
It was downloaded from YT's creator studio.

Thanks for watching!
