Financial Sustainability Review: Looking forward to 2022. With Ben Caldecott (Oxford Sustainable Finance Group), Jon Williams (PwC) and Andrew Watson (Rethinking Capital)

Why you should watch: Post-COP, there is a lot going on. There is the GFANZ initiative, now with 450 members (though the 'integrity' of those commitments is something that is well-worth monitoring); there is the IFRS Foundation’s establishment of the ISSB ('Isby', anyone?) under the chairmanship of the ex-CEO of Danone, Emmanuel Faber; there are the first results of the BofE's incorporation of climate stress tests into its supervisory regime; there's a push to incorporate biodiversity into sustainability criteria after the Dasgupta Report; there is an almighty hoo-hah over the role of gas and nuclear in the transition to net zero; and there is the ever-present issue of the so-called 'taxonomy'. Plus a growing awareness of the social costs embodied in the 'Just Transition'. All of these (and more) covered by a very distinguished panel.

Moderator: Andrew Hilton (Director, CSFI)
