Collaborative Writing on Issues of Media and Gender in India: A Conversation with Nadja-Christina Schneider and Fritzi-Marie Titzmann (Hosted by Deepali Aparajita Dungdung and Rituparna Patgiri)

Nadja-Christina Schneider is a professor of Gender and Media Studies for the South Asian Region (GAMS) at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. Her disciplinary background is in South Asian and Islamic Studies as well as Modern and Contemporary History. She specializes in Area Media Studies. Her research interests include cultural and urban studies, mobility and gender, secularism and religion as well as new media configurations.

Fritzi-Marie Titzmann works at the Gender and Media Studies for the South Asian Region, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. Her research focuses on gender, media, and social change in contemporary India. She has published on the Indian online matrimonial market, family, sexuality, social activism, and media representations. They are currently also working together on the joint research project RePLITO (Beyond Social Cohesion - Global Repertoires of Living Together from 2021-2024.
