MONDON designs manufactures and markets a wide range of machines for unwinding, rewinding or converting flexible webs.

In order to meet your specific needs, MONDON proposes a multi-station rewinding line.

This machine allows rewinding in continuous in line with extrusion PET, polystyrene or polypropylene slit film into 1 or 2 webs. Each web will be rewinded on a rewinding station. Each rewinding station is made of 2 rewinders on carriage.

This line is made of 2 nip rolls, 2 rewinding stations with each one 2 rewinders on carriage, and a vertical linear accumulator.

For production changes, the operator introduces the web into the accumulator ...into the nip rolls located on the platform ...and by the cores on the rewinding stations.

Once the slit width adjusted, the nip roll closed and all the adjustments set, the rewinding cycle can be started up.

Thanks to its configuration, reel changeover on this multi-station rewinding line can be accomplished without stopping the web.

An alarm warns the operator that the reel diameter or reel length is reached. Then he asks for cutover and will bring the web into position on the new core on the 2nd carriage.

The rewinder will only start again when the access door is locked.

It takes about 30 seconds to bring the web into position on the empty core, and during this time, the vertical linear accumulator can store 30 meters of film.

When the rewinder starts again, the nip roll will regulate and control its speed according to the position of the accumulator.

The operator can take the carriage out with the finished reel, put a new core and to position back the carriage. The mobile carriages are equipped with motorized wheels and are guided by rails fixed on the ground in order to keep alignment with the production line.

The traverse of the carriages is driven by an integrated control into the carriages.

Reels handling time of is largely decreased because the link between the rewinding shaft and the motorization is through gears coupling. You just have to position the carriage to couple it to the rewinder.

The rewinding stations are protected by sliding doors closed by interlocked safety striking plate which allows the access to the carriages only when those stop.

Each rewinding station is equipped with a cabinet gathering the main controls (start, stop, cutover, emergency stop, etc...).

The line is controlled in a global way via a touch screen providing access to the machine synoptic with links towards the various controls, but also towards the adjustments pages, the maintenance pages and towards the various parameters and defect messages too.

This control panel is integrated into the electrical cabinet.

Efficient, adaptable and versatile, this MONDON multi-station rewinding line is fitting a wide diversity of needs.

You can work with PET, PS, or PP film from 150 up to 800 micrometers, and widths from 350 up to 1650 mm.

You can make reels of up to 1.5 tons and 1200 mm diameter, with a line speed 20 to 60 meters/ minutes, and traction from 10 up to 30 kg/m of width.
