The cursed lands test every step. Shadow Mastiffs stalk from the dark, and Meazels drag ropes through the mist, hunting the lost. The Dark Urge fights through them all, blade steady, heartbeat louder than fear.

Within Moonrise, judgment unfolds.
Ketheric Thorm presides over the trial of Minthara — failure punished by death. But even decapitation cannot touch him; his body refuses to die. The room freezes as immortality breathes.

Then Thorm sees her. The Dark Urge.
He claims to know her name, her past, her purpose. And in a single gesture, he commands Z’rell to make her his executioner. Minthara is spared for “re-education.” The goblins are not.

The Urge stirs — the hunger to kill, to tear, to feel the blood again. But this time, she resists.
The goblins are freed, Z’rell burns with fury, and the tadpole’s power ripples through the hall, bending fate itself.

Tasked to find Balthazar, the Dark Urge turns instead toward mercy.
She finds Minthara’s torturers, plays their cruelty against them, and through the mindlink whispers one word: “Pretend.”
Together, they escape. Two traitors in a tower built on lies.
