Building A Homestead | We Turned 6 Acres Of Raw Land Into This!

This week we were granted early access to our new property in order to get fencing set up for the big move! This is our first real walk around the property, and our work is cut out for us.

This 6-acre property hasn't been maintained for several years. We attempted to cut some of the 5-foot-high grass and weeds, only to blow the belt on our lawnmower. Thankfully we introduced ourselves to some of the locals and they graciously gave up their afternoon to bring over their tractor and mow down the field so we could get to work!

We started with 6 acres of raw, unkept field, and after some long days and hard work, we finished with 3 fenced-in areas for the pigs, goats, and chickens.
