Sound Of Music Filming Location Nonnberg Abbey

What an honour to visit this gloriously special location (made famous by The Sound Of Music and of-course the real Maria Von Trapp who in real life got married here!); many scenes from the 1965 film based on her fascinating & inspirational life were shot here but probably the most famous one was the start of the song "I Have Confidence!" when Maria leaves Nonnberg Abbey to start her new life. It's such a peaceful, tranquil place!
