If we look 30 years back when a couple could not conceive due to infertility problem. It was women only who would consult a Doctor.but things have changed now we do have male partner also coming for check up. The only test for men is detailed semen test.main things in detailed semen analysis is sperm count and sperm motility i.e how fast sperms are moving. because only swift moving sperms cause pregnancy . Typically sperm count should be 60 to 80 million per cc. Half of them should be swift at least.If your count is low don't be disappointed you just only need medical help.
