Unedited extended footage dragging my canoe 150km up the very remote Red Wine River to its source in 2018 on route across Labrador and Northern Quebec. This was by far the most challenging stretch of the expedition. The current was swift and strong from spring mountain run-off and pounding rains. Working against it was slow going and drained energy. Some days I struggled to get 7 or 8km in 10 hours. But this upriver descent was necessary to reach the height of Land in Quebec where I would head downstream to Hudson Bay. Bit by bit Saku and I chipped away. The adventure was fascinating and beautiful.
It was supported by the Royal Canadian Geographical Society and I shared with them my documentations of this rarely if ever seen landscape and wildlife.
