About the Speaker:
Padma Shri Dr. Navjivan Rastogi is an internationally renowned scholar of Kashmir Shaiva philosophy and the intellectual tradition of Abhinavagupta. He has served as a professor and chair of the Department of Sanskrit and Prakrit Languages at Lucknow University and as the honorary director of the Abhinavagupta Institute of Aesthetics and Shaiva Philosophy at Lucknow University.

Prachand Praveer has published eleven books, with notable works including the Hindi novella Alpahari Grihtyagi: IIT Se Pehle (2010), the non-fiction prose on cinema Abhinav Cinema: Ras Siddhant Ke Alok Mein Vishva Cinema Ka Parichay (2016) and its English translation Cinema Through Rasa (2021), and the Hindi novel Mitne Ka Adhikar (2024).
