These two teeth of Shakyamuni Buddha are nearly 3 inches long, and have been growing in size since the time the Buddha entered Nirvana about 3000 years ago. These are the only known teeth relics of the Buddha in the United States, and are part of a collection of over 10000 relics that were donated to Lu Mountain Temple, in Rosemead, CA, earlier in 2013. This website has information about the relics, and also describes the vision to build a stupa to enshrine the relics, somewhere in Southern California, which will be a major monument to Mahayana Buddhism.
